The 2012 Genesis is engineered to perform. Like the 4.9L engine in 2009 and 2010, the 5.0L engine is a winner of Ward's 10 Best Engines for 2011 and the V6 models come equipped with a powerful 333 hp 3.0L Lamda DOHC engine. New this year, and a first for Hyundai, is a state-of-the-art 8-speed automatic transmission for maximized performance and imporoved fuel economy.
The Genesis is available in four different trim levels: the 3.8, Premium, Techonology and 5.0 R-Spec. The Imposing alloy wheels are standard on all models: 17" on the 3.8, 18" on the Premium and Tech Packages and 19" for the R-Spec. Premium leather seating is standard in all models and includes a 4-way power heated passenger seat and 8-way power heated driver seat with memory and lumbar support. The Integrated Memory System remembers not only your favourite seat position but also the position of the steering wheel and side mirrors. Smaller touches included on the Genesis make driving it just that much more enjoyable. These include a windshield wiper de-icer, auto-dimming rearview mirror and an auto-defogging system with humidity sensor to automatically prevent windshield fogging.
Music fan? The standard audio system is a 7-speaker system with a 6-disc changer and iPod, USB and Aux. plugs. Want more? The Premium package features a 14-speaker Lexicon sound system and the Tech an amazing 17 speaker, Discrete Logic 7® Lexicon surround system.
5.0 R-Spec Genesis
The R-Spec package not only ups the performance of the Genesis but also loads it up with almost every imaginable feature you could want on a vehicle. The 5.0L V8 engine is mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic®. Just a sampling of the premium feautures on the R-spec include 19" alloy wheels with Hyper Finish, ultra premium leather seats, Lexicon 17-speaker discrete audio system, cooled driver seat, heated steering wheel, smart cruise control, leather-wrapped dash and adaptive automatic front lighting system headlights.
