The maximum towing capacity for Suburban 1500 ranges up to 3,674 kg (8,100 lb). For Suburban 2500, the number sets the standard for the class, with a maximum trailer weight rating of 4,355 kg (9,600 lb).

And for 2012, the standard 6-speed automatic transmission now includes electronic sway control and hill hold assist. That's on top of existing features like Tow/Haul mode and automatic grade braking.
