Interior

The standard Comfort Convenience Package includes tilt adjustable steering and cruise control.
Available in-dash six-disc CD changer with available XM Radio
Forward-facing fold-up rear seats add to the practicality of the Extended Cab interior. The seats include under-seat storage boxes that can be folded flat to extend the load floor.
Sunroofs are available in Extended and Crew Cab LT models. Not available in Regular Cab models.
Adding to the comfort and convenience are standard features like air conditioning, cruise control and a new Driver Information Centre that monitors a series of vehicle functions.
The first thing you’ll notice inside a Colorado Crew Cab is space with the available 60/40 reclining split-bench front seat. Or you can opt for the luxury of heated, leather-appointed front bucket seats.

The mid-size pickup that delivers genuine Chevy Truck strength and durability.
Colorado is available in Regular, Extended and Crew Cab, 2WD or 4x4 and with two engine choices and three suspension options.

Crew Cab 4x4 Z71 with available 15-inch chrome finish styled-aluminum wheels.
To accommodate your entire crew, there’s available seating for up to six. The cargo capacity is just as substantial, with payloads of up to 607 kg (1338 lb.)
Colorado offers the serious hauling capacities required to handle your loads, with payloads that go all the way up to 702 kg (1547 lb.) and maximum trailer weights of up to 1814 kg (4000 lb.).

 

Mechanical

The 2WD Z85 Suspension Package features an independent front suspension with coil springs and conventional stamped A-arms. Also included are a 28mm front stabilizer bar, twin-tube shock absorbers and rubber jounce bumpers.
Available on 2WD, traction control system utilizes electronic controls to help reduce rear-wheel spin when driving on most slippery surfaces. When sensors determine one or both rear wheels have low traction, engine power is reduced to limit wheel slippage
The Vortec 2.9L I-4 engine in Colorado is smartly engineered to be powerful, efficient and durable. It generates 185 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 190 lb.-ft. of torque at 2800 rpm
Both Z71 2WD and 4x4 Suspension Packages have front torsion bars and independent front suspension. Both features help supply the legendary Z71 performance, handling and stance.

 

Safety

Colorado is equipped with standard audible wear sensors on the brakes and a brake fluid level sensor.
Driver and right-front passenger frontal air bags use dual-stage inflators and input from crash severity and seat position sensors to determine a full or less-than-full deployment in a moderate to severe collision.
The standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System alerts the driver is pressure falls in any of the four tires.
A rock-solid source of Colorado’s strength is its box channel frame. The use of 7 cross members further enhances the frame’s stiffness, contributing to it’s stable handling. Engine vibration is minimized due to the strategic placement of powertrain mounts
LATCH system safety restraints are standard on Colorado.
All Colorado models come equipped with four-wheel antilock brakes, which are designed to help you maintain steering control by reducing wheel lockup while braking hard on most slippery surfaces.
OnStar and one year of the Safe & Sound Plan are standard on every 2008 Colorado.
