Vice President, Schlueter Automotive Group
Amy has grown up in the automotive business and is a third generation member of the family’s automotive organization.. She started working part time in the Parts Department during school. She graduated with an Honours BA from Mount Allison University and followed that with a Master of Arts in History at the University of Waterloo. She is also a National Automotive Dealers Association Academy Graduate.
Amy's main responsibility is to overview the day to day operations at Schlueter Chevrolet. She works with the department heads in Sales, Service, and Finance to help with inter-department communication and to ensure that all groups are being supported. As VP she also works as a liaison with the other Schlueter dealerships working with managers in all stores to provide consistent thinking, process, and the implementation of Automotive Group wide initiatives.
Her career path was temporarily disrupted in 1999 when she was diagnosed with kidney disease. She was able to resume ‘normal’ life activities after receiving a kidney transplant from her sister, Kelly, in 2000.
She currently serves as President of Chevrolet Regional (Ontario) Marketing Advisory Board (RMAB). And is also a member of the Chevrolet National Chevrolet Marketing Advisory Board.
Outside of work Amy is happily married with three children.
Within the community she is involved with various organizations such as Grand River Hospital and Ignite Waterloo.
