This coverage helps to maintain the value of any existing policies that you have in place allowing for the comfort of knowing that your family will be covered in an untimely death. Accidents know no boundaries. Accidents do not recognize age, sex, race, religion or occupation. One moment everything is normal and the next moment you could be the victim of a drunk driver, a slippery step or a virus. When you factor in the costs of maintaining your mortgage payments, food, clothing, utilities, medical costs and children's education, it really does make good sense to provide protection against unforeseen hazards.
With Illness and Injury Coverage in the event that you were sick or injured and could not work, your monthly payments will be covered for the length of your illness or injury. The Illness and Injury Benefits include paying your monthly obligation, the benefits are non-taxable, they are paid over and above your workplace benefits, the payments never need to be repaid, and it will help protect your savings and credit rating.
Both Credit Life and Accident and Illness coverage are available for both loans and leases. Both coverage's are available for just the vehicle buyer, just the vehicle co-buyer, or both the vehicle buyer and co-buyer jointly. You can even choose a plan tailored to your needs by choosing various "retroactive" or "elimination" policies.
The premiums for the coverage are calculated based on a group averaged rate. This means that all customers that qualify in the required age range pay the same premiums for the coverage regardless of age and occupation. There are no detailed medical questionnaires or physical examinations required to qualify for the coverage.
If you decide to pay off the loan or lease before its expiration, you can even receive a partial refund for the unused portion.
