Mechanical

Coupes and convertibles now have an available dual-mode exhaust that reduces restriction and raises power output from the standard 430 hp to 436 hp (torque increases from 424 lb.-ft. to 428 lb.-ft.).
Advanced drive-by-wire Electronic Throttle Control delivers smooth, linear response.
Standard in coupe and convertible LS3 V8 Engine produces an SAE-certified 430 horsepower @ 5900 rpm and 424 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4600 rpm. And an EPA estimated MPG 16 city, 26 highway with the standard six-speed manual transmission.
Active Handling System uses Traction Control and antilock brakes together with microcomputers, accelerometers and stability sensors. AHS compares driver steering input with actual vehicle response.
If you like crisp, fast shifting, you\'ll savor the short-throw six-speed manual transmission that\'s standard in all models.

   

Safety

Side-impact air bags for the driver and front passenger are standard on convertible and available on coupe. Side-impact air bags are designed to help reduce the risk of head injuries to occupants on the near side of certain side-impact collisions.
The available Head Up Display projects selected key vehicle information even directions from an available navigation system onto the windshield, allowing the driver to focus on the driving.
Every Corvette is equipped with standard driver and right-front passenger frontal air bags. These air bags feature the Passenger Sensing System, which measures the weight of the passenger.
