Interior

In the TL Type S all interior instruments and controls and intuitively located and highlighted by distinctive red ambient lighting.
Drilled metal pedals, exclusive sport seats and a leather sport shift knob add an extra touch of excitement to any drive.
The Acura Navigation System with bilingual voice recognition, rearview camera and illuminated steering wheel controls is standard on the TL Type S.
Mounted just behind the leather-wrapped steering wheel are the available Formula One paddle shifters (automatic transmission only).
The Type S features Active Noise Cancellation for increased quiet and comfort in the interior cabin.
The 8-speaker, 6-channel, 225-watt audio system delivers astonishing levels of rich 5.1 surround audio detail. Features an in-dash 6-disc changer.

 

Exterior

The Acura TL Type S is pure exhilaration with a scintillating twist.
The Type S exterior is detailed with dark chrome headlights and taillight extensions, front and rear sill bumper mesh and Type S badging.
The Type S features 17” x 8” exclusive aluminum-alloy wheels.

Mechanical

The Type S features a set of lightweight high-performance front Brembo brakes with 4-piston front brake calipers.
A helical-type limited-slip differential helps control the inner drive-wheel slip in corners by optimizing the torque between on wheel and the other.
The Acura TL Type S is powered by a 286-horsepower, 3.5L VTEC V6 engine.
The close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission has perfectly spaced gear ratios to offer a race-inspired link to a world defined by 286 horsepower and 255 lb.ft of peak torque.

   

Safety

The Acura “Safety through Innovation” philosophy is the idea that an enhanced driving experience starts with the most advanced safety features.
Maximum safety is achieved with six airbags designed to protect all occupants inside the TL.
The TL offers an advanced braking system featuring Anti-lock braking, Electronic Braking Distribution and Brake Assist.
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System continually monitors the tire pressure in each tire because correct tire pressure is critical to safety, performance and fuel efficiency.
The advanced Vehicle Stability Assist system with Traction Control automatically detects and corrects understeer or oversteering, sometimes before you’re even aware there is a need.
The rearview camera shows a colour image on the navigation screen of the area directly behind the vehicle when in reverse. Available with the Navigation Package or Type-S.
In the event of a collision, the energy-absorbing front and rear crumple zones help absorb impact energy and direct collision force around and away from the passenger cabin.
