2008 Acura CSX Type S

Interior

A standard auxiliary media input allows occupants to use portable devices, such as MP3 players, through the in-car audio system. Plus volume and station-select controls are mounted on the steering-wheel spokes.
When service is needed, a reminder message automatically appears in the odometer readout window. The driver is advised when to change the oil, the air filter, transmission fluid, spark plugs, and engine coolant according to actual service conditions.
Along with conveniently compact exterior dimensions, the CSX offers ample space and excellent comfort for five occupants.
CSX Technology and Type-S trims are equipped a single CD player and a Digital Audio PC Card slot. The CSX Type-S also offers a total of 350 watts and a subwoofer.

Exterior

To minimize wind-related noise body seams have been tightened, glass is flush-mounted, and doors have double seals.
All CSX trims feature high visibility door mirror integrated turn signal marker lights.
Asphalt insulation material is literally melted onto critical areas of the CSX\'s floor surface to greatly reduce noise and vibration.
CSX\'s 340 L trunk will swallow four standard-sized golf bags, a 19-inch mountain bike (requires folding the rear seat), three large suitcases, or a large 72-quart cooler.
Now offered in four exciting trims, CSX, CSX Premium, CSX NAVI, and CSX Type-S, this exciting model provides a refined, powerful and feature laden entry point to the Acura family.

Mechanical

The CSX Type-S features a specially tuned sport suspension and standard 17" wheels for more exhilarating driving dynamics.
CSX Type S is equipped with a close ratio 6 speed manual transmission.
An all-disc brake system provides short stopping distance, high resistance to fade during repeated use, and excellent pedal modulation.

Safety

A total of six air bags (driver, passenger frontal; driver, front passenger side; and side curtain for both front and rear occupants) are standard equipment.
Side-curtain air bags drop from the headliner to offer head protection for all occupants in the event of a side collision. These restraints cover the entire glass area to minimize the likelihood of injury.
A seat-position sensor on the driver’s side and a weight sensor on the passenger side help tailor air bag deployment to suit the speed and severity of the collision.
Anti Lock Brakes (ABS) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) provide optimal braking performance in emergency driving situations.
6.	Standard on CSX Type-S, brake assist detects panic stops and ensures that maximum brake pressure is applied where necessary.
