Exterior

To minimize wind-related noise body seams have been tightened, glass is flush-mounted, and doors have double seals.
Various special details have been incorporated with the CSX\'s sleek overall shape to minimize aerodynamic drag and wind noise including the 23.9-degree windshield angle, one of the steepest used on any contemporary sedan.
Now offered in four exciting trims, CSX, CSX Premium, CSX NAVI, and CSX Type-S, this exciting model provides a refined, powerful and feature laden entry point to the Acura family.
Asphalt insulation material is literally melted onto critical areas of the CSX\'s floor surface to greatly reduce noise and vibration.
CSX\'s 340 L trunk will swallow four standard-sized golf bags, a 19-inch mountain bike (requires folding the rear seat), three large suitcases, or a large 72-quart cooler.
Long lasting, High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps are standard on CSX Technology and Type-S trims

Mechanical

Mounted just behind the spokes of the leather-wrapped steering wheel, you\'ll find the available paddle shifting transmission control designed to deliver an extra boost of excitement.
With Acura\'s intelligent i-VTEC system with VTC (Variable Timing Control) fuel consumption is reduced and exhaust emissions are minimized.
To fulfill customer needs, CSX and CSX Technology trims feature a standard five-speed manual with an available five-speed automatic that features steering-wheel-mounted paddle-shift controls.
Race-inspired to its aluminum core, the CSX is propelled by a high-performance 2.0-litre DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine. This lightweight and reliable engine boasts an aluminum block and head with DOHC 16-valve design.

Safety

The CSX is fitted with a direct Tire Pressure Monitoring System that alerts a driver whenever the air pressure in one or more of the vehicle’s tires drops significantly below the recommended level.
Anti Lock Brakes (ABS) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) provide optimal braking performance in emergency driving situations.
A seat-position sensor on the driver’s side and a weight sensor on the passenger side help tailor air bag deployment to suit the speed and severity of the collision.
A total of six air bags (driver, passenger frontal; driver, front passenger side; and side curtain for both front and rear occupants) are standard equipment.
Side-curtain air bags drop from the headliner to offer head protection for all occupants in the event of a side collision. These restraints cover the entire glass area to minimize the likelihood of injury.
